Mortem Venatus Chapter 8

Everyday,the bond between Laura and Vita became much tighter and closer.It's like a rope that's impossible to be untied.Acting all lovey dovey in school,cafeteria and even inside the gymnasium.Others didn't mind that much,but except for this one young boy,the forgotten,Kareem.Since the incident,Laura has been acting cold towards him.Kareem no longer exists in her life.Completely erased,like a fragile glass that's shattered into thousands of tiny little pieces and then it turn into a dust,never been seen again.It was him who helped her a lot in the past,it was him who is her only friend.But now,all that seems so far away.Only a fake smiles can be carved on the face of the phantom.Everyday feels like walking through a hell called as a Solitude.The melancholic days passes by,all of that have been forgotten,never been remembered by anyone including the persona.So,what a tragic life you've been through pres.Dani with a sad face.He never once knew about this.Haha it's not a big deal,as long as she smiles,i'm okay.With that,the night faded away,Enough sleep,they woke up.The sun shines bright,beautifully.The morning glory,the dew made it feels like the nightmare is long gone.So how's Vita?Kareem asking Laura.Laura smiles,he's fine.Oh Vita is awake,exercising,done a little bit of a shadow boxing.Pretending nothing happens.Mortem with sour face,speaks to Teddy,ouh that guy is still alive,he supposed to be dead.Teddy ignores it.With a little bit of breakfast which is a roasted wild shiitake or a matsutake,I don't know,just chew them up,Dani while laughing.For the first time,it felt so peaceful.They set off,looking for the door that could warp them to the next floor.They continue on walking,till the sight of the cave can no longer been seen.A little bit of rest would be appreciated,Teddy is to tired to keep on going.Oh come on big guy,Angel opens her mouth,pretty much her first time.Hurmm trash,Mortem with an arrogant smile.What did you say?Of course,Teddy was not happy with that.I said youre trash.Happy?Mortem with another provoking statement.Teddy almost punched Mortem and suddenly,a giant stagbeetle appear behind Teddy.Without further ado,it uses it's gigantic horn to sent Teddy flying.Teddy is unconscious,and his pants looks wet.Oh god,not another one.Dani while sighing.At least it's not poisonous,Kareem trying to act cool.It looks like a Palawan StagBeetle,Kareem showing off his knowledge.Who cares about that,what we need now is a plan to take that thing down.Kareem only stays quiet.The crazy beetle suddenly spoke,perish you pathetic little humans.Hurmm never knew that an insect could talk,a sarcastic in that too.Dani with a little bit of annoyance.Everything here is non logic already,this kind of thing was not a surprised,Vita with a little bit of joke.Suddenly,a rhyme could be heard by the group,like a voice from a cracked loud speaker.Alright,contestants of Mortem Venatus,the only way to open the path to your next destination is by walking through a door and that door is locked.Find the key and the key itself shall illuminates you to the location of the door.But the problem is,where is the key?The location is completely anonymous.That's what makes this game exciting ain't it?Haha but of course you gotta survives from the beetle first.Only then,the game could be started.Finally,a wish of goodluck from me,your beloved Tenebris.The sound completely dissapeared on the thin air.So what moves should you start with you meek little humans?The voice of the beetle was already scary itself.But Vita looks very calm,not troubled by it even a little bit.Why?

Mortem Venatus Chapter 7

Chapter 7

The road tastes like wintergreen. The rain smells like iron and octane, mixed with stale gasoline. The lorry looks like a T-rex that hunting it’s prey.I’m doom.Inside’s crying,please save me now.She’s praying hoping that It’s not the end of her.The bright white light causes a temporary blindness to Laura.It turns grey and then it fades to pure blackness.Ehh where am I?Am I dead?Question and question only in the back of Laura’s childish mind.She was on a warm bed,the room was very clean like her own. A smell of shamim could easily be picked up by her nostril.She feels a little migraine,but her curiosity causes her to woke up from the cozy King Coil.The room was neatly furnished and mahogany was everywhere. Must be a rich dude the owner.Laura to herself.

She saw a glass window not too far from her,she peeked through it and saw two black figures.She’s scared,sweat starts to fall and her stiffness can easily be seen.Paralyzed,but her curiosity and braveness gave her the needed push and so she walked through the luxurious looking wooden door.The black figures now could be easily identified.It was a middle aged woman and boy who is about the same age as her.Have enough sleep dear? The woman starts to ask her with a very gentle voice much resembling her beloved deceased mother.The woman was looking straight at her but Laura was looking right through her.The woman looks straight at the eyeball of the child which she found three days ago.

Who are you?Laura asking the woman,the stranger who just became her saviour with full of unneeded curiosity.Some says that curiosity kills the cat.The woman replied it back with a ferocious grin.Mom! stop scaring her! The boy little voice box suddenly became functional.Laura backed a few metres,paleness emerged from the very face of the scared little girl.Haha the woman laugh while smiling.Kidding,I’m only joking,no need to be scared dear.So what’s your name you sweet little girl?It’s Lau…lau…Laura.She stutters because the woman was a complete stranger.Hishh no need to be scared,I’m not a criminal or a terrorist.You must be hungry,care for a nice breakfast with us?Ask the woman gently.Laura nod.

The three made their way to the dining room.The floor was made by expensive marbles,the wall was furnished very well,it looks splendid,like some kind of an orthodox English style.They reach the dining room,the table was well oraganized with the stainless cutlery and high grade ceramic dishes.Not to mention the grand looking chandelier on top.Are they some kind from a royal family?Laura asks herself.They all ate the meal,first it was a Scottish Oatcakes and so much more to follow.Finish,they all talked but awkwardly,Laura didn’t get use to this kind of atmosphere before.It feels like the ozone layer have become thinner and thinner with every minutes that passes by.So what do you have any story that you would like to share with us,you’re a stranger and we found you unconscious somewhere on the road.Since then you have been in coma for three days.

Thank god that you now have woke up.While the woman was giving Laura a warm smile.Laura starts the story,the tragedy,the cataclysmic event that befalls her beloved family.The lifesavers are left speechless.Pity for young child like you to experience those kind of nightmare.While crying,the woman slowly walks toward Laura and whisper to her,you can live with us,from now on we’re a family.Oh how rude of us!We forgot to introduce ourselves.By the way that little boy there was just like you,a lonely orphan,his parents died in an accident.His name is Vita and for me,just call me Ms. Bloom.the boy smiles 

at her and since then they become a good friend.

Mortem Venatus Chapter 6

Chapter 6         

She stares at him like some kind of a princess that have found her prince charming.Sometimes she smiles and sometime she giggles.Maybe she’s crazy,says Dani.Hey knock it off,Her heart have melted just now,Well I mean it’s normal for a girl to fall in love with a smart,good looking,kind and brave like Vita.What!?She holds a crush towards Vita?Dani questioning Kareem.Don’t tell me you never notice that before,hishhh,Kareem with disbelieved.She have that crush towards Vita since elementary days,since Vita saves her from an accident ,Kareem while touching his forehead and making a very serious face.The story starts just like this.

One day,sometimes in the past,during a summer school holidays.A fat and chubby little girl was doing her homework and revisions somewhere in the town local park.She was so sucked into her own world.She wants to become a good engineer someday in the future,She knows that her dream could be achieved if she works very hard.She wants to make her sick mother very proud of her.She wants to change the life of her dying family.Her parents have divorced when she was just a little girl,when she was just trying to learn how to spell an apple.Her father was filthy rich,no wonder he’s got so many secret girlfriends.To Laura,it’s not a big problem as long as they could live together as a family,she’s happy.

Unfortunately,her poor mother suddenly falls sick,incurable,impossible but she still manage to hold on.It was a  huge blow to Laura,she cries all night,non stop.Holidays over,she goes to school like a normal students would.But,something is different,she’s no longer as talkative and cheerful as she would have been before.She never smiles,she never laughs,she’s only studying.Her classmates,friend and even her bestfriend starts to distance themselves from her.Except for this one young boy,his name was Kareem,He always tries his best to make Laura happy and laugh.He even help Laura to study or even bought him some meals for her and her mother.Why?because he loves Laura very much.

One windy day,the sky turns blacker,It’s going to be stormy tonight alright,Kareem while making an annoyed face while the two of them walking their way back home.They have a little chat,but it looks like Kareem was the only who’s enjoying it,Laura only shows a little interest.They bid farewell as they part ways,Laura reach her home,touching the doorknob and open the door.It was rather quiet,not even a tiniest sound could be heard.Mom?mom? where are you?dad?dad!!!!She quickly run towards the staircase and head towards her mother’s room.There she sees her father lying on the floor,covered in blood.He cheated on me! Her mother screams,hahahaha!!! Laughing like a maniac.Laura is speechless.

What have you done mom??Laura while crying.I just killed your beloved father,her mom with a sour face.How could you do this!?Her mom didn’t answer,instead she’s running towards the nearby window and jump.Laura ran to the window and look down and yeah her mother is already dead.It’s too much,it drives Laura crazy.Like a possessed human,she runs out from her house.It was raining heavily.She didn’t look anywhere,only keep on running.Till she falls on the road.A big lorry is heading towards her in such a high speed.
